Denise Kathleen Kidd

Denise Kathleen Kidd, 54, of Springdale, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, in her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1966, in Whittier, Calif., to Frank Joseph and Dolores Elaine (Goodness) Verucchi.

Denise was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tontitown, since age 3 where she was baptized, confirmed, received her first sacrament, and married her husband, Michael Thomas Kidd on June 13, 1992. More recently she has been very involved in coordinating and serving with Adoration.

Denise moved and traveled extensively for her husband’s work including time in Chesterfield, Mo., and then Starkville, Miss., where they raised their family. She was always busy in her children’s lives serving on PTA Council, Boy Scouts, church activities, and attending their sporting and school events.

Denise and her family returned to northwest Arkansas in 2010. She enjoyed her many travels to places including Scotland, Israel, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, France, Herzegovina, and the Virgin Isles.

Denise was preceded in death by her father on Thursday, Jan. 21.

Survivors are her husband, Michael Thomas Kidd; her mother, Dolores Elaine Verucchi; three children, Michael Thomas Kidd, Jr. and wife Hadley, James Daniel Kidd and Mary Margaret Kidd; one brother, Frank Verucchi; and four sisters, Cindy Glory, Diana Trailer, Sabrina Ruddick and Tammy Fortner of Garfield.

Recitation of the Rosary will be 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
