Change of a Dress

-

Carolyn Zinni comes from a long line of Philly stylists—the Zinni family has been known for dressing local women of all ages for special occasions since 1946 at their namesake East Passyunk shop, Zinni’s. Now, daughter Carolyn is continuing that legacy, bringing high-fashion bridal gowns to the Avenue. She takes a nod from her roots, giving brides a modernmeets-elegant bridal-shop vibe. “Buying a wedding gown is an experience, not a transaction,” she says. “I work with each bride personally, taking time to learn about her, her love and the inspiration for her wedding day.” Brides-to-be can expect all styles of gowns from modern princess to traditional silhouettes, with designer names like Justin Alexander and Laine Berry filling the racks. “Having dressed young women [at Zinni’s] for their very first eighth grade dance, then again for homecomings and proms, I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to now dress them for their greatest dance yet—their wedding dance.” 1725 E.
