POLUSZEJKO DAVID ANTHONY Age 66, died Nov. 15, 2013. Son of the late Eleanor and Konstanty Poluszejko. Fought in the Vietnam War and later became a psychiatri­c social worker. Age 86, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013, while under the care of the St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars. Born July 29, 1927 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary ( Geyer) Staub Gunning. Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. For most of his life he worked as a self-employed carpenter. A true outdoorsma­n, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening vegetables, and maintainin­g his cars. He dearly treasured his grandson, Jacob. Above all, Ron was a loving husband, father, and grandfathe­r, who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 62 years, Jacqueline (Hilf) Staub, of Zelienople; his son, Ronald J. Staub and his wife, Lorraine M., of Jackson Twp.; his grandson, Jacob Staub; and his brother, Richard J. Staub and his wife, Lillian. After the service, he went on to a successful engineerin­g career at Alcoa for over 20 years, at which time he followed a calling to enter the Pittsburgh Theologica­l Seminary, where he earned a Master’s of Divinity. Rev. Willard went on to serve at the First Presbyteri­an Church of Bakerstown, Bakerstown, PA, First Presbyteri­an Church of Hillsdale, Hillsdale, MI, Westmont U. P. Church, Johnstown, PA, Fox Chapel Presbyteri­an Church, Pittsburgh, PA, and ultimately Memorial Park Presbyteri­an Church, Allison Park, PA. Rev. Willard loved people and ministerin­g to members of his Church and community. He was a true shepherd, tending to his flock and devoting his life and energy to church work. Jack has many additional passions, including gardening, trees and shrubs, wine making, coin and stamp collecting, antiques, Lincoln memorabili­a, reading, crossword puzzles, teaching, and singing with the Men's Gospel Singers at Memorial Park Church. ATKINSON RENEE (PROKOPEC) 10/07/1963 ~ 11/07/2013 After a long illness, Renee passed away at her new home, surrounded by her loved ones on November 7, 2013. Later on in her life, she graduated from Pitt University with the highest honors. She then attended Law School at Duquesne University and graduated and passed the Bar. Before she had a chance to practice law, she was diagnosed with cancer. I am extremely proud of all my daughter accomplish­ed in her life and she will be greatly missed and always in my thoughts and prayers.
