Rohanna wins title

Rachel Rohanna, a graduate of Waynesburg High School, won the Guardian Retirement Championsh­ip for her first Symetra Tour title, beating five players by two strokes in Sarasota, Fla.

Rohanna finished with a 2-over 74 in windy conditions for a 5-under 211 total at difficult Sara Bay.

The 24-year-old former Ohio State player earned $16,500 to jump from 16th to fourth on the money list with $23,223. The top 10 at the end of the season will earn 2016 LPGA Tour cards.

Justin Rose birdied the final two holes to win the Zurich Classic at a tournament-record 22 under in Avondale, La. Rose completed a 7-under 65 in the rain-delayed third round and closed with a 66 at TPC Louisiana for his seventh PGA Tour title. Rose’s final two putts from 10 and 131⁄

2 feet allowed him to hold off Cameron Tringale by a stroke. Tringale birdied the 18th for a 65.

• Lydia Ko won the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic for the second consecutiv­e year, beating Morgan Pressel on the second hole of a playoff in Daly City, Calif. The 18-year-old Ko never had the lead Sunday until she rolled in a 5-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole for her seventh career victory. She also made birdie on the 18th in regulation for a 2-under 70 to force a playoff.

• Joe Durant had a hole in one and teamed with Billy Andrade to win the Champions Tour’s Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo. Andrade and Durant closed with a 9-under 45 at the par-3 Top of the Rock course, playing nine holes of modified alternate shot and nine of better ball.

• Wu Ashun became the first Chinese player to win a European Tour title on home soil when he beat David Howell by one stroke to capture the Volvo China Open in Shanghai. Wu, 29, made two birdies to just one bogey to card a 71 and finish at 9-under 279 overall.

• England’s Lee Westwood won the Asian Tour’s Indonesia Masters for the third time, beating Thailand’s Chapchai Nirat with a birdie on the first hole of a playoff in Jakarta. Westwood, 42, closed with a 1-over 73 to match Chapchai at 7-under 281.

Tennis

Top-seeded Kei Nishikori successful­ly defended his title at the Barcelona Open by beating Spaniard Pablo Andujar, 6-4, 6-4 in Spain.

• Home favorite Angelique Kerber rallied to upset Caroline Wozniacki, 3-6, 6-1, 7-5, in the final of the Porsche Grand Prix for her second consecutiv­e title in Stuttgart, Germany.

Marathon

Eliud Kipchoge won the London Marathon for the first time, leading home a Kenyan top four ahead of defending champion Wilson Kipsang. Kipchoge, a former world 5,000-meter champion, completed the 26.2-mile (42.2-kilometer) route in 2 hours, 4 minutes, 42 seconds in overcast conditions in the British capital. Tigist Tufa became the first Ethiopian woman to win in London since Derartu Tulu in 2001, crossing the line in 2 hours, 23 minutes, 22 seconds.
