Walker for America

The column by the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank regarding Scott Walker was ridiculous, hateful and proves the progressive left fears him more than anything (“Scott Walker Is Dangerous,” July 27). They fear that if elected president, Gov. Walker will get this country’s economy booming again and that is against their plan of big government and Communist takeover of America.

As governor, Mr. Walker turned a deficit in Wisconsin into a surplus by cutting taxes and regulations and enacting conservative reforms. He defunded Planned Parenthood, got voter ID passed and lowered unemployment from over 9 percent to near 4 percent. Mr. Walker also made Wisconsin a right-to-work state, which gives public state employees the option to join a union but it is not mandatory. He was able to accomplish all of this in a blue state and showed the country how to lead and what true, proven conservative reform is.

The GOP presidential hopeful has won three elections including a recall, fought off the naysayers, and has shown the best leadership of any of the presidential candidates in either party. Don’t be fooled by Dana Milbank’s hateful column or any other columnist who is against Scott Walker.

The truth is, America needs conservative reform and leadership like Mr. Walker’s to repair the damage done by President Barack Obama and his failed policies.

Gov. Scott Walker is not only the best choice to become the 2016 GOP presidential nominee but the next president of the United States as well. STEPHEN SCHLAUCH
