I believe Trump will work hard for Americans

-

When Donald Trump recently tweeted “I will work hard and never let you down!” he was not talking to Wall Street; he was talking to the middle class. I believe him.

I have also come to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton needs to exit the American political scene. FBI Director James Comey’s criminal investigation revealed that she was either badly mistaken or untruthful to the American people four different times regarding her private email server. Based on the FBI report, I and many other Americans believe she lied to the American people. Four times she changed her story.

She is no Barack Obama. The FBI director spoke specifically about her “extremely careless” behavior. We need a departure from the political elite and the corruption that goes with it. My vote will be for Donald Trump in November. JOHN CHOMKO Indiana Township preserve Americans’ Second Amendment right to own and use firearms.”

One Trump supporter who acknowledges there will never be a wall between Mexico and the United States explained that the “concept” of the wall was what really mattered. A virtual wall, it follows, is now the immigration policy. So, is it a virtual ban on Muslims and a virtual return of heavy industry to the Rust Belt States to create virtual jobs?

Mr. Trump refers to his fast and loose talk as “innocent hyperbole,” a form of justifiable exaggeration that serves as license to make things up to serve his purpose. If facts are inconvenient, they are dismissed as mere opinion.

As voters, we must judge the ethics and behavior of the candidates, evaluate her/his capacity to build a solid organization to lead the country, measure their authenticity and reflect on any acknowledgement of errors they make. Mr. Trump has failed each test to date and replaced reality with his new parlance. Truth no longer matters. ELIZABETH LEWIS

Frank listened to my passionate plan to start entrepreneurship at Pitt and told me it would be a challenge, as this is a corporate town, but he would help where he could. For many years, he helped intellectually and financially as I built the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence from scratch into success.

Reading the PG story of his scaling back stimulated me to write and acknowledge his great work for not only early entrepreneurship but also for numerous organizations in which he served on the board or committees and helped our region so very much. Today, more than ever, I challenge local leaders to emulate Frank Cahouet and get involved in the pressing and emerging challenges of our region. We are all in this together! ANN DUGAN
