Pro Football Hall of Fame coaches John Madden and Marv Levy are among the presenters chosen to welcome the eight-person Class of 2016 at the induction ceremonies Aug. 6 in Canton, Ohio.

Madden will speak on behalf of the late quarterback Ken Stabler, who played for Madden with the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s. Levy will be the presenter for offensive lineman Dick Stanfel. Both inductees died in 2015.

The others inductees, and their presenters, are Edward J. DeBartolo, Jr. (daughter, Lisa DeBartolo), Tony Dungy (Donnie Shell), Brett Favre (wife, Deanna Favre), Kevin Greene (Dom Capers), Marvin Harrison (Jim Irsay), and Orlando Pace (son, Justin Pace).

Browns

Wide receiver Josh Gordon is expected to miss at least two weeks of training camp with a quadriceps injury, the latest setback for the troubled player. Gordon, who was reinstated Monday by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell after a lengthy suspension for drug violations, took a physical Tuesday, and it was determined he needs time to recover from an injury sustained while working out on his own.

Ravens

Veteran offensive tackle Jake Long, agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Baltimore. The deal is contingent on Long taking a physical, which will happen today.

Seahawks

Seattle and coach Pete Carroll agreed on a contract extension, keeping the oldest head coach in the NFL locked up beyond the 2016 season. The move with Carroll, 64, came just two days after the team locked up general manager John Schneider to a contract extension.

Cowboys

Dallas defensive end Randy Gregory could see his suspension for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy extended from four games to 10, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer and Adam Schefter. The increased suspension would come because Gregory violated the substance abuse policy for a fourth time, either by failing or missing a drug test.

Packers

Coach Mike McCarthy said there is no long-term concern with Jordy Nelson after the receiver was placed on the physically unable to perform list to start training camp.

Falcons

Atlanta released star return specialist Devin Hester before the opening of training camp. Hester is a three-time All-Pro who set an NFL record with 20 career returns for touchdowns.

Redskins

Linebacker Junior Galette tore his right Achilles tendon and will miss the 2016 NFL season. He missed the 2015 season with a torn left Achilles tendon.

Lions

Anquan Boldin is joining Detroit, according to messages on the free-agent receiver’s Twitter account. ESPN, citing unidentified sources, reported Boldin and the Lions were finalizing a one-year deal.

Titans

Tennessee agreed to a contract with offensive lineman Will Campbell.
