Arrest made in killing of McKees Rocks man
Police have made an arrest in the killing Monday of a McKees Rocks man in Washington County.
Kristopher Michael Lott, 22, no address listed, was charged by Allegheny County police with homicide, kidnapping, robbery and other offenses in the shooting of Ryan Ramirez, 21.
Police said a witness told them he contacted Mr. Ramirez to buy prescription painkillers for himself and Lott, and the three met at a park in Robinson.
The witness said Lott was “aggressive” toward Mr. Ramirez and demanded money. The three then drove to a bank in Burgettstown so Mr. Ramirez could withdraw money.
Driving away, Lott and Mr. Ramirez argued, and Lott hit him in the head with a handgun. Lott then pulled the car over on Steubenville Pike and told Mr. Ramirez to get out, according to the affidavit. The witness said he heard Mr. Ramirez and Lott arguing, then he heard a single gunshot.
The witness said Lott returned to the car, and they drove away. The witness led investigators on Thursday to a wooded area, where they found the body. Lott faces a preliminary hearing Sept. 9.
