Kraft Heinz to cut 200 jobs

-

The Kraft Heinz Co. is trimming 200 jobs across the U.S. and Canada, as the integration continues of two iconic food companies that merged in 2015. “The impact to our Pittsburgh locations is immaterial,” spokesman Michael Mullen said of the latest job cuts. The company, based in Pittsburgh and Chicago, issued a statement saying the two legacy IT systems and the consolidation of the U.S. business structure triggered the new cuts. The company has 42,000 employees worldwide, and about 800 in the Pittsburgh area.
