Trust eases some security measures
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has altered new security measures that will go into effect on Oct. 1 to now allow patrons to bring seat cushions into its four Downtown theaters. They originally would have been banned.
The trust operates the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts, Byham Theater, Cabaret at Theater Square and August Wilson Center for African American Culture. After the policy was announced this week, the Trust received calls from patrons saying they need the seat cushions for medical reasons, said spokeswoman Shaunda Miles.
