#GearedUp: The preview party for this year’s Pittsburgh International Auto Show,“Dancing with the Cars,” was held Thursday night at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Presented by the Greater Pittsburgh Automobile Dealers Association, the event raised a record $405,500 for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix charities; the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School. Nearly 700 guests enjoyed a sneak peek at the newest Lincolns, Audis, Chevrolets, Fords, Mazdas and more.

#PedaltotheMetal: The party got started with a Champagne reception around a restored 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe, which was brought back to life by Hahn Vorbach & Associates. A ribbon cutting foll o w e d and the doors opened to a convention floor filled with cars and the sounds of the Magic Moments band. A strolling supper with food stations and bars set up among the vehicles kept guests on the move. John Putzier, CEO of GPADA welcomed everyone and also presented the check to Autism Society CEO Jesse Torisky and his father, former CEO Dan. Another band, Redline, played during dessert.

#CarLovers: Loving the smell of new cars were Stan Geier of Lamar Outdoor with his wife Ruth, Dan Taylor of Ford with his wife Robin, PVGP execut i v e director Dan DelBianco with Michelle, PVGP board member Gigi Saladna, graphic designer Dan Holmes with Erin, Marty and Judy Smith and PVGP poster artist Jim Zahniser.
