Nominate your company for Top Workplaces
The stock market has been riding high in recent months, so maybe you’ll be able to leave the workforce soon and live on a beach somewhere with your millions of dollars.
In the meantime, you probably have to work. It’s better if you can do that at a place where
new ideas are encouraged, you feel genuinely appreciated and maybe you even get the formal training you want for your career.
Those are the kind of topics that the Post-Gazette’s Top Workplaces survey addresses, and it’s worth nominating your organization to the program so everyone on the payroll can weigh in on how things are going.
The nomination deadline this year has been extended to March 24.
Any employee can submit a nomination at www.postgazette.com/nominate. Nominations also can be made by phone at 412-4288020.
It takes only one nomination to start the process, although companies and organizations have to agree to be part of the survey.
WorkplaceDynamics, a Philadelphia-based employee survey firm, has been working with the Post-Gazette for several years on the program, which is free for organizations that participate. Every participating organization will receive feedback based on how its employees answer the survey questions.
Nominations are open to all employers, including nonprofits and government, that employ 50 people in the Greater Pittsburgh area. That includes Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
Top performers will be recognized in a special PostGazette publication in August.

Or maybe you are already packing up for the beach.
