California Borough crash results in death

A woman died and five other people were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Washington County, police said.

The incident occurred about 3:50 p.m. at the intersection of Malden Road and Malden Drive in California.

Six occupants of the vehicles were flown to Pittsburgh trauma centers, California police Chief Rick Encapera said in a news release.

One of them, a 26-yearold woman, died shortly before 7 p.m. at Allegheny General Hospital, according to Chief Encapera.

None of the victims has been identified.
