Hyla Urbany’s tips to make your profile photo the tops

With a few simple tweaks, you can improve your profile pictures to more roundly reflect your character and increase your chances of landing a date. Here are a few of them.

DO:

• Take the photo in a well-lit area

• Smile and appear approachable

• Include more than one photo for breadth

• Update your photos at least once yearly

• Include both a head shot and a fullbody photo

• Be active in your photos and illustrate your interests

DON’T:

• Use a bathroom mirror selfie

• Grimace, make silly faces or appear straight-faced

• Use more than four or five photos

• Include only group photos

• Use a photo from several years ago

• Include photos of yourself with other women, even if it’s your daughter

• Use a corporate work photo
