Rescuing & Saving Sinking Concrete Slabs & Foundations: The Right Product & Experience Does Matter

-

When concrete slabs sink, it’s usually due to a void that has developed underneath that was caused by natural settling of the ground, some form of erosion, drainage issue or poor compaction. The visual symptoms represent a small picture of what’s really going on with the entire base under your concrete. There’s more than meets the eye.

Once slabs start to settle they are at risk for cracking. Replacement usually involves a messy and very expensive solution that gives the homeowner a mis-match concrete look that is cosmetically unappealing.

Replacement is approximately 5070% more expensive than leveling and does not provide same day usage and leveling is a less messy alternative to replacement. Concrete leveling will also allow for maintaining your current concrete slab(s) eliminating a less than desirable checkerboard look as new concrete will never visually match the beauty and value of existing aged concrete.

A-1 Concrete Leveling utilizes an environmentally safe non-chemical based natural limestone grout that gets pressure injected underneath the sinking slab to fill the void, re-establish the base then raise the sinking slab back to level. When seams and joints are professionally caulked as well, it adds additional protection and looks amazing. Your concrete is a significant investment and our process will go a long way in protecting it.

A-1 Concrete Leveling are the pioneers of leveling in the western PA/ OH region. 20+ years of leveling experience makes us uniquely qualified to handle any residential, commercial and industrial projects. Our vast experience also dictates that we stay the course using an all-natural limestone grout to perform the skilled art of concrete leveling. We have seen many come and go, there will always be industry fads in the construction business. The current trend for leveling concrete has taken form via the use of a chemical based Polyurethane Foam. PolyFoam, as its most often referred to, is not a new technology. Many customers are asking for our opinion on the use of a chemical based product to lift their concrete and they trust our 20+ years of experience in this industry for a qualified answer. From our experience and research, we’ve found no reason to switch over or add a chemical product to our established and proven all natural limestone based grout for leveling. We have found many technical reasons to stay away from Polyurethane foam as well as insect infestation concerns (see video example via the webpage address) For a more detailed analysis and education on both processes please feel free to visit a1now.com/superior-process

From a FOUNDATION REPAIR aspect, we offer our customers a permanent solution for bowing and cracked concrete block walls leaving behind no evidence of repair, a structurally 10x stronger than original situation with no unsightly wall anchors that need yearly maintenance due to soil movement.
