• Grove City looks to be getting another brewery. We wrote last week of the opening there of Koehler Brewing Co. Meanwhile, Big Rail Brewing Co. — it’s been brewing at the Harmony Inn — has announced the purchase of a 12-acre lot for its own taproom at 2158 Mercer Butler Pike that should open by 2019. Owner Bill Smith is planning “a cozy tap room, with a bar, fireplace and comfortabl­e tables and benches” with a light menu that could be supplement­ed by food trucks or caterers. “When the weather’s nice, there will be large garage-style doors that we can open wide and let in a fresh breeze, as well as a beer garden among the trees.” Moreat bigrailbre­wing.com.

• From 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, it’s “Growlers & Flowers,” a beers-andblooms fundraiser for the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in Oakdale. You can enjoy local brews and horse d’oeuvres in the park’s Discover Stations and gardens, where there’ll be live music. Admission is $35 ($30 for Garden members).
