Duquesne University professor Audrey Guskey has pleaded guilty to keying her neighbors’ cars.

Ms. Guskey, 62, had been charged with one felony and two misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and three summary charges of disorderly conduct; she pleaded to the summary charges, according to court records.

Her attorney, Phil DiLucente, said that the felony and misdemeanor charges were withdrawn and that Ms. Guskey will pay a $300 fine for each of the three summary charges of disorderly conduct. Court documents indicate Ms. Guskey was assessed $897 in fines and costs as well as $10,248 in restitution.

A neighbor on Ms. Guskey’s Bridgeville street grew suspicious after several cars had been damaged and set up a camera in hopes of catching someone in the act, according to the criminal complaint. The neighbor, Zachary McGill, called police after his girlfriend’s car had been keyed on the front fender; he showed police a video of Ms. Guskey keying his girlfriend’s car around 7 a.m. on June 17.

Mr. McGill told police Ms. Guskey “gets upset when vehicles are parked in front of her residence.”

Two days later, police responded again to Mr. McGill and another person who identified Ms. Guskey on camera keying a Volkswagen and an Audi on the street, damaging the passenger side doors.

Ms. Guskey admitted to police on June 23 to damaging four cars on her street multiple times.
