Parkway East inbound restrictions scheduled
Inbound restrictions on the Parkway East will begin an hour earlier Thursday and Friday while crews paint the arches on the new Greenfield Bridge above the highway.
Work will begin at 9 p.m. rather than 10 p.m. each night and will finish by 5 a.m. the next morning.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane inbound on the Parkway East shortly before the entrance to the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and continue until passing beneath the Greenfield Bridge. The inbound entrance ramp from Squirrel Hill will be closed. The Squirrel Hill exit and all other entrances and exits will remain open.

Crews for Mosites Construction Co. are finishing work on a $17.5 million project to replace the bridge connecting Greenfield with Schenley Park. The span is expected to open some time in October. 29, police said Wednesday.
Police said Jones shot Mr. Pinkney shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Belleau Drive. Emergency responders found Mr. Pinkney in a courtyard and took him to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said they had several leads that helped them identify Jones as a suspect and arrest him Wednesday.
In addition to homicide, Jones will be charged with illegal possession of a firearm because he has a previous felony conviction.
