Bentworth 41, Brownsvill­e 33: Bentworth held off a furious Brownsvill­e comeback in a Century Conference matchup to emerge with an eightpoint win. After Bentworth jumped out to a 28-7 halftime lead, Brownsvill­e put up a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to make it a one-score game. But it wasn’t enough to close the gap, as Bentworth secured the victory.

Washington 36, Charleroi 8: Nick Welsh got Washington on the board in another Century showdown with an 8-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, then dashed 80 yards for another score in the third. Welsh finished with 307 yards rushing on 17 carries to propel Washington to victory.

Burgettsto­wn 35, Frazier 6: Ryan Lounder had a pair of first-quarter scores, one on a 55-yard kickoff return and one on an 80-yard punt return to spark Burgettsto­wn to a Century Conference win.

North Catholic 12, Neshannock 7: North Catholic utilized a pair of first-half touchdown passes by Zach Rocco to hold off visiting No. 3 Neshannock in a Midwestern Conference showdown. The teams combined for seven intercepti­ons in the defensive struggle, and neither squad managed to score in the second half.

South Side Beaver 28, New Brighton 21: Thomas Botkin rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns to help offset New Brighton quarterbac­k Jackson Hall’s 224 yards passing in South Side Beaver’s Midwestern Conference win.

Mohawk 20, Laurel 14: Braydon Cameron rushed for 91 yards and scored all three Mohawk touchdowns in a Midwestern Conference win against Laurel. Nicholas Wheeler completed nine of 17 passes for 156 yards for visiting Mohawk.

Avonworth 49, Carlynton 0: Derek Johncour completed 10 of 14 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown in Avonworth’s blowout victory. Four players had rushing touchdowns for Avonworth in Union beat Sto-Rox in the Big Seven thanks to a big game from the Pinkerton brothers. Ethan Pinkerton passed for a pair of scores, while Seth Pinkerton hauled in a touchdown reception and an intercepti­on return for scores.

West Greene 53, Avella 7: Ben Jackson got the scoring started with an 82-yard kick return touchdown, then piled on three more rushing scores for West Greene in a onesided affair. Jackson tallied 217 yards on only 10 rushing attempts in the Tri-County South Conference win.

California 49, Fort Cherry 0: Jelani Stafford was an unstoppabl­e force on the ground for California in this Tri-County meeting. Stafford tallied touchdown runs of 1, 2, 16 and 19 yards in California’s lopsided victory.

Riverview 16, Leechburg 0: Devon Binz handled all of the scoring for Riverview in a shutout win against Leechburg. Binz recorded a pair of touchdown runs from 3 and 10 yards out, and also added a two-point conversion after his second score.

Imani Christian 70, Greensburg Central Catholic 7: Asante Watkins and Twan Wesley powered No. 4 Imani Christian to a 63-point rout of Eastern Conference opponent Greensburg Central Catholic. Wesley went 17 of 25 for 256 yards and three touchdowns, while Watkins rushed for 114 yards on only nine carries to go with four total touchdowns.

Mapletown 42, Cornell 14: Dylan Rush had a game for the ages against Cornell, stampeding for 318 yards and six rushing touchdowns on 37 carries in a Mapletown victory.

Springdale 42, Jefferson Morgan 20: Scott Landis ran for 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 30 carries, and Josh Harmon chipped in 101 yards and two more scores in Springdale’s nonconfere­nce win.

Jeannette 58, ChartiersH­ouston 0: Class 1A No. 2 Jeannette had no problem disposing of Class 2A Chartiers-Houston in a nonconfere­nce matchup. Robert Kennedy completed nine of 15 passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns.
