5 must-see events for fashion lovers

Don’t let fall’s arrival get you down, especially when there’s a slew of events to look forward to in September — especially for fashion lovers.

Whether you’re in the mood to shop, socialize or see a runway show, there’s something on tap to satisfy your sartorial cravings. So grab your calendars — it’s going to be a busy, yet stylish, month.

Sept. 8: Kick off the weekend with a little wine and shopping for a cause. Wine Women & Shoes returns to Fairmont Pittsburgh, Downtown, for its second year to support the Creative & Expressive Arts Therapy program at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Sept. 8 and 22: Stroll and shop

Sept. 18-22: The Pittsburgh Downtown Community Developmen­t Corp. tried its hand at a fashion event last fall and this year has five days of them planned. The show benefits Partners For Quality Foundation and has raised more than $410,000 for its Allegheny Children’s Initiative, which aids children and families with behavioral challenges each year in Allegheny County.
