CCAC, faculty union reach tentative deal

Community College of AlleghenyCounty and the union representing faculty havereached a tentative agreementon a new labor contract,an official with thecollege said Tuesday.

Details were not immediately available.

“Ican confirm that,” CC AC spokeswoman Elizabeth Johnston said when askedwhether a pact had beenreached. “They are just waiting for ratification.”

Ms. Johnston said she did not know the new contract’s length or other specifics, including raises and other language changes.

Thecollege and Local 2067of the American Federationof Teachers have beennegotiating to replace themost recent contract, whichexpired Aug. 31.
