Tuesday’s highlights

Sophomore Joe Kearney scored five goals and teammate Mike Dramble had three as No. 3-ranked C.W. North Catholic defeated Eden Christian, 12-0, in Class 1A soccer. Chris Sabol of Moon tied a school record with a 4-under 32 at Montour Heights to lead the Tigers past Blackhawk, 197-202. Nathan Taylor scored all four of Keystone Oak’s goals in a 4-0 victory against East Allegheny. Tyler Van Kirk scored with 1:33 remaining to lead West Mifflin to a 2-1 win over Gateway. Stephen Abbott and Connor Blazer each had two goals and an assist to lead No. 1-ranked West Allegheny to an 8-0 victory against Hopewell in Class 3A. Peters Township, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, got two goals from Logan Brinsky and Bryce Gabelhart in a 5-0 win vs. Baldwin. Two goals by Colby Davis helped Laurel Highlands upset No. 4 Belle Vernon, 2-1, in a Class 3A matchup. Darryl Daniels had three goals and an assist to lead No. 1 SetonLaSalle past California, 8-1, in Class 1A.
