Mr. Rosen­thal fo­cuses on af­ford­able hous­ing, pub­lic fi­nance, real es­tate and cor­po­rate mat­ters, and rep­re­sents mul­ti­ple hous­ing author­i­ties across the coun­try. Mr. Stone’s prac­tice is cen­tered on real es­tate, low-in­come hous­ing and com­plex de­vel­op­ment fi­nanc­ing.


McAu­ley Min­istries, Pitts­burgh Mercy’s grant­mak­ing foun­da­tion, an­nounced five new ap­point­ments to its board of direc­tors: Tia L. Baker, chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer, Crown Cut Concierge, and chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer, Cup­cakes Most Wanted; Sis­ter Bon­nie Heh, a Sis­ter of Mercy and fi­nance di­rec­tor at The In­ter­sec­tion, a McKeesport-based drop-in cen­ter; Sis­ter Rita Hara­siuk, a Sis­ter of Mercy and a for­mer el­e­men­tary ed­u­ca­tion teacher in the Dio­cese of Pitts­burgh and the Dio­cese of Greens­burg; Sis­ter Kath­leen McGrady, a Sis­ter of Char­ity and di­rec­tor of Se­ton Arts Ser­vice Pro­gram, an out­reach pro­gram of the Sis­ters of Char­ity of Se­tonHill; and Sean D. Thomas, a stu­dent suc­cess coach at the Com­mu­nity Col­lege of Al­legheny County. Each will serve a three-year term.

Awards and Hon­ors

The Na­tional In­sti­tute on Ag­ing, one of the 27 in­sti­tutes and cen­ters of the Na­tional In­sti­tutes of Health, ha­sawarded Bryan Brown, as­sis­tant pro­fes­sor of bio­engi­neer­ing at the Univer­sity of Pitts­burgh’s Swanson School of Engi­neer­ing, a five-year, $1.57 mil­lion grant to ex­am­ine how ag­ing af­fects im­plantable med­i­cal de­vices.

John Henne, pres­i­dent and owner of Henne Jew­el­ers, was in­ducted into the 2017 Re­tailer Hall of Fame in the sin­gle-store in­de­pen­dent cat­e­gory. The des­ig­na­tion was voted on by his peers na­tion­wide and given by Na­tional Jeweler mag­a­zine.
