Dracula’s cat

-

A big-eared Cornish Rex cat named Catula will be a kind of opening act for The Amazing Acro-Cat performances at the Bricolage Theater through Sunday. Show-goers can pet him in the lobby before and after the show at the Downtown theater, 937 Liberty Ave.

The blue-eyed white cat might be wearing the Dracula cape that he wears on the cover of the book written and illustrated by his partner, Melissa Haas of Brookline, “The Misadventures of Dracula’s Cat.”

On Halloween night, Catula will host the University of Pittsburgh’s Ghost Watch on the third floor of the Cathedral of Learning. Look for Catula in the Early American Room from 6-8 p.m.

Visitors at the free event will learn the history of the room as they await a ghostly appearance. This is Catula’s fourth appearance at Ghost Watch. At an earlier watch, “the cradle rocked,” said Ms. Haas.
