Steelers, shopping must-see fashion events
Pittsburgh’s fall fashion season is in full swing, with a little something for everyone.
Whether you’re lover of football, shopping or exploring museums — or all three! -— there’s sure to be something this week to suit your interests.

Shop ‘till you drop at PIZZAZZ
The Garden Club of Allegheny County will transform the Fox Chapel Golf Club into a shopper’s Utopia Wednesday through Friday for the 22nd year of PIZZAZZ, a fundraiser for the cause that brings together the best of boutique shopping from acrossthe country.
Jump start your holiday shopping with something from more than 20 vendors. New additions this year include traditional clothing and accessories by The Andover Shop (Andover, Mass.), bold and colorful home decor from The Calvert Collection (Haverford, Pa.), jewelry from around the world from Merrichase (New York City), exotic high-end handbags from Eileen Kramer (Hannandale Beach, Fla.), and gifts for him made from repurposed MLB, NFL and NHL items by Metro Man Gifts (San Francisco). For returning shoppers, Creme de la Creme gifts (Winnetka, Ill.), Mr. Charles Shop contemporary women’s clothing (New York City), whimsical men’s accessories and classic clothes by Bird Dog Bay (Chicago), and Catchall fine linens (Westport, Conn.) are a fewof the longtime vendors.
The Garden Club also will hold its Timeless Treasures table, with antiques and collectibles from some of Pittsburgh’s finest homes.
Since its inception, PIZZAZZ has raised more than $1 million to help the Garden Club support environmental education and other causes.

Football, family and fun with the Pittsburgh Steelers
On Friday night, the Steelers won’t be at Heinz Field. Instead, your favorite football players will be next door at Stage AE for the annual Rock Steelers Style benefit.
They’ll show some fancy footwork on the runway, joined by their families, as they model fashions. The one with the best moves will claim the coveted Swag Awards. Leading the stylish squad will be offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert and defensive end Stephon Tuitt, this year’s Rock Steelers Style captains. Other highlights include a collaboration with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and designs from Kiya Tomlin’s Uptown fashion line. There’s also a silent auction, with a chance to bid on a trip to Super Bowl LII and autographed-Steelers gear.
The event supports the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and the Cancer Caring Center.

Show some skin at the ‘Undressed’ gala
When the dress code reads “from corsets to couture,” you know you’re in for a fun night!
That’s what’s in store for partygoerson Thursday at the “Undressed”gala at The Frick Pittsburgh in Point Breeze, the only venue in North Americato present the exhibition “Undressed: A History of Fashion in Underwear.” It opens to the public on Saturday and will be on view at the Point Breeze museum throughJan. 7.
This is the second major fashion exhibition and gala at The Frick, on the heels of “Killer Heels” last summer. The posh party crowd will be able to enjoy champagne on the terrace, dancing, a strolling dinner and a tour of the “Undressed” exhibition.
