Pine-Richland 49, Norwin 14: Phil Jurkovec threw for four touchdowns and ran for another, as the top-seeded Rams (11-0) matched their season scoring average with this firstround blowout of the visiting Knights (5-6).

Jurkovec completed 13 of 17 passes for 236 yards and connected with Ben Jochem, Cam Ballay, Dawson Goltz, and Jordan Crawford on touchdown passes. Jurkovec also led the Rams with 113 yards on four rushing attempts and scored on an 84-yard run.

Kenny White scored twice for the Rams, on a 5-yard run and a 75-yard kickoff return.

Norwin scored on a 1-yard run by Jack Salopek and a 4-yard run by Jayvon Thrift.

Central Catholic 27, Peters Township 20: Troy Fisher thew for two touchdowns and ran for two more as the Vikings (9-2) defeated the Indians (7-4) in a game played at Cupples Stadium.

Fisher completed 11 of McKeesport fans cheer the Tigers as they take on West Allegheny Friday night at Joe P. Demichela Stadium in Imperial. 19 passes for 181 yards and threw a pair of 43-yard touchdown passes. The first was to Corey Thomas in the opening quarter. The other was to Gavin Thomson in the fourth quarter.

Fisher also scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter and a 16-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Peters Township scored its first points in the second quarter on an 8-yard touchdown run by Andre Williams, but failed on the 2-point conversion attempt and trailed 7-6 at the half.

Peters Township scored twice in the fourth quarter, on a 62-yard intercepti­on return by Luke Mary and a 58-yard pass from Jake Cortes to Josh Casilli.

The Vikings will face Penn Hills next week in the semifinals.
