Central Connecticu­t State 42, Robert Morris 14: The Colonials (2-9 overall, 0-6 NEC) closed the season on an eight-game losing streak, while the Blue Devils (8-3, 60) clinched its first FCS playoff berth and became the first NEC team to go unbeaten in league play since 2008. Quarterbac­k Jimmy Walker led Robert Morris with two touchdown passes.

Assumption 40, California 31: The Vulcans (9-3 overall, 5-2 PSAC) couldn’t capitalize on a 17-3 first-half lead, losing in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. California was doomed by turnovers, as starting quarterbac­k Michael Keir threw for 300 yards, a touchdown and five intercepti­ons. Entering the game, Keir had thrown just six intercepti­ons on the season.

Washington & Jefferson 31, Johns Hopkins 28: A late field goal by freshman kicker Mauricio Garibay with under a minute remaining sealed a win for the Presidents (11-0 overall, 8-0 PAC), who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. QB Alex Rowse returned from a three-game absence after an injury and tallied 391 passing yards, three TDs and three intercepti­ons.
