-

A Penn Hills man has been charged with leading Pittsburgh police on a car chase through an East End neighborhood.

Police arrested 24-yearold Keenan Tolliver after officers said he nearly crashed into their vehicle in Larimer late Thursday.

According to a criminal complaint, three city officers were in an unmarked police car on Paulson Street about 9 p.m. Thursday when a car being pulled away from the curb and nearly hit them.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle but later found it parked in the 6200 block of Auburn Street. They saw three men lying down in the vehicle and announced “Pittsburgh police,” according to the complaint.

Police said Tolliver backed up, nearly hitting one of the officers, and then sped off, the complaint said. The officers chased Tolliver along several streets and into a field near Indiana Way.

Tolliver drove over a curb and made a right onto Lenora Way, continuing to drive through the neighborhood and hitting a parked car on Thompson Street, according to the complaint.

Police said they lost sight of the car, but court documents show Tolliver was arrested Friday.

Tolliver was charged with fleeing and eluding police, attempted homicide, recklessly endangering another person and numerous traffic violations.
