Latrobe 92, Gateway 91: Reed Fenton hit the sixth of his 3-pointers as time expired to give the Wildcats (2-1) a win in a double-overtime thriller against the winless Gators (0-3). Fenton finished with 36, but Bryce Butler was the team’s leading scorer with 40, while Mark Bozicevic dropped in eight from beyond the arc as part of his 30 points to lead Gateway.

Pine-Richland 70, Upper St. Clair 56: Dan Petcash continued his early season scoring push as the junior scored a game-high 27 points — including three 3-pointers — as the Rams (3-0) remained undefeated despite playing without several members of the state championsh­ip football team.

Fox Chapel 67, North Hills 46: Garrett Barto scored a game-high 24 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Indians (0-3), who remained winless as Carson Cohen and Dom McGriff each knocked down 21 as the Foxes (3-0) ousted North Hills early in the season for the second year in a row.

Laurel Highlands 92, Elizabeth Forward 65: Bryce Laskey had a big game as the senior guard drilled eight 3-pointers as part of his 45-point outing and eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau in leading the Colts (2-1) past the Warriors (1-2).

Burgettsto­wn 77, Fort Cherry 67: Ryhan Colverson dropped in a game-high 31 points, but it wasn’t enough to get the Rangers (0-3) their first win as Ryan Lounder finished with 25 and Garrett Dhans chipped in 17 as Burgettsto­wn (2-1) pulled out the victory.

Deer Lakes 76, Shady Side Academy 68: Jake Kelly led all scorers with 22 points, while Brad Perrotte added 18 as one of four Lancers in double figures as Deer Lakes (1-2) pulled out its first win of the season with a victory against the Indians (2-1).

Trinity 59, Bethel Park 53: Joey Karoly scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half, finished 5 of 5 from the free-throw line and also knocked down three 3-pointers to lead the Class 5A No. 5 Hillers (2-1) to a win against the host Blackhawks (1-2).

Chartiers-Houston 71, South Side Beaver 58: Andrew Clark knocked down seven 3-pointers as part of his game-high 29, but teammate Cam Hanley stole the show as he chipped in 25 and went over 1,000 points in his career in the Bucs (2-1) win.

Allderdice 61, Central Catholic 49: Maurice Shipman hit five 3-pointers as part of a career-high 21 for the Vikings (0-3), but the four-time reigning City League champion Dragons (3-0) got 17 from Terrell Childs and 15 from Rob Jones to pull out a victory.
