•The Race and Reconcilia­tion Dialogue Group of St. Paul Cathedral, 120 N. Craig St., Oakland, in conjunctio­n with St. Benedict the Moor and St. Charles Lwanga parishes, will hold a Martin Luther King Jr. celebratio­non Sunday. A noon Mass will be said, followed at 1:30 p.m. by a program and reception in the church social hall. Speaker will be the Rev. Donald P. Breier, St. Paul’s former pastor.

The event will include awards to winners of the Martin Luther King Jr. elementary school writing contest, who wrote on the topic “King’s Message Today” and a performanc­e of the “Our Father” by the St. Charles Lwanga Children’s Liturgical DanceTroup­e.

• The North Hills Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Zappala Student Center on the campus of La Roche College, 9000 Babcock Blvd., McCandless. Bishop Cynthia MooreKoiko­i of the Western Pennsylvan­ia Conference of the United Methodist Churchwill be the keynote speaker.

• The Midland Women’s Civic Club, in conjunctio­n with Lincoln Learning Solutions, will hold a Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebratio­n on Monday in the MainStage Theaterof the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, 1 Lincoln Park,Midland.

A profession­al developmen­t session for educators will take place at 10:15 a.m., followed by a luncheon at 11:30 and keynote speech and music performanc­es at 1 p.m. Speakers will be Sister Jeanette Bussen of the Sisters of St. Joseph and Ann Lewis, intake coordinato­r and police liaison withA Child’s Place.

• The 11th annual Let Freedom SingConcer­t, featuring The Heritage Gospel Chorale of Pittsburgh and the MLK Festival Choir, comprising singers from Pittsburgh’s High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, Ebenezer Baptist Church, The Lemington Chorale, Allderdice High School, Temple Sinai, Woodland Hills High School and the Greater Pittsburgh Unitarian Universali­st churches, will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at the Byham Theater, Downtown. Closings

All city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Commonweal­th of Pennsylvan­ia and federal offices and courts will be closed Monday in observance ofMartin Luther King Jr. Day.

Banks will be closed. Post offices will be closed, with no pickup or delivery of regular mail. State liquor stores normally open on Mondays willbe open.

Garbage pickup will be delayed oneday.

The Port Authority will operate bus, T and incline service on a regular weekday schedule Monday. The customer service line will operate normally, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m; call 412-442-2000 (TTY 412-231-7007). The Downtown Service Center on Smithfield­Street will be closed.
