Clydesdales will march in St. Patrick’s parade

The Express Clydesdales, a team of unusual black and white draft horses, will appear in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick’s Day Parade and at two other events March 1517.
Each of the horses is over 8 feet tall and weighs more than 2,000 pounds.The team is sponsored by Express Employment Professionals, a staffing firm with seven franchises in Western Pennsylvania.
Before the parade March 17, the horses and their handlers will appear at two fundraisers, offering wagon rides, children’s activities, food trucks and the chance to meet and get pictures with them.
From 11 a.m.-2 p.m. March 15, the Express Clydesdales will be at the Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, 5324 Penn Ave, Bloomfield (15224). Proceeds benefit the Children’s Home.
From 4-7 p.m. March 16, they will be at Donaldson Park, 590 Donaldson Road, Oakdale (15071). The event is hosted by Express Employment Professionals-Pittsburgh West in Robinson with North Fayette Township and the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds benefit local military.
