SOUTH FAYETTE
Township manager Ryan Eggleston has tendered his resignation to accept another position down south.
Mr. Eggleston will begin his new role as City Manager in Morehead City, N.C., some time in May. His last day in South Fayette will be April 27.
Mr. Eggleston informed the Board of Commissioners on Feb 21 in executive session.
“It is going to be hard to leave behind the many great things we have accomplished here,” said Mr. Eggleston--who has been township manager since 2012.
Mr. Eggleston began his career in community management in Greenville, Pa., in 2006. In 2009, he became the city manager in Oil City, until he finally landed in South Fayette in 2012.
Professional consulting firm, GovHR USA, has been hired by the township to recruit a replacement. The search is expected to begin in March.
PETERS
