WR Fitzgerald prepares for 15th season with Cardinals
The temperature was well into triple digits and sweatsoaked Larry Fitzgerald was still going full bore, hauling in passes from Sam Bradford and Josh Rosen.
Entering his 15th season, with career receiving numbers among the best to have played the game, Fitzgerald is not talking about whether this year in the NFL will be his last.
“I’m just trying to make it to February in one piece,” he said after Arizona’s second

day of minicamp on Wednesday.
Fitzgerald, who will turn 35 before the season begins, has taken part in every voluntary session with the same competitive mindset he always has had. As silly as it sounds, the former Pitt star said he plays like his job is on the line.
“When I say that I’m not saying it jokingly, that’s the mentality that you have to have,” he said.
New coach Steve Wilks treasures having someone like Fitzgerald to help the Cardinals transition into a new system with the retirement of Bruce Arians.
Cowboys
A person with direct knowledge of the deal said Dallas and Zack Martin have agreed to terms on an $84 million, six-year contract extension that will make the two-time All-Pro the highestpaid guard in the NFL. The deal includes $40 million guaranteed money and will be tacked on to the final year of his rookie contract, the person said on condition of anonymity.
Redskins
Left tackle Trent Williams said he expects to be back for training camp after having surgery on his right knee. Williams wore a bandage on his knee as he spoke to reporters Wednesday after the Redskins worked out during mandatory minicamp. The Pro Bowler missed six of 16 games last season. He said the surgery involved his kneecap.
