Pruitt favor discovered
WASHINGTON— Scott Pruitt discussed hiring a friend of a family that owned a condominium he was renting for $50 a night, newly released emails suggest.
The emails contradict assertions that Steven Hart hadn’t lobbied the EPA.
The hiring of Mr. Hart’s family friend was discussed by Mr. Pruitt’s chief of staff and Mr. Hart, then chairman of Washington lobbying firm Williams & Jensen.
The unsuccessful effort to find employment for Jimmy Guiliano came in April 2017, when Mr. Pruitt was living in the condo of Mr. Hart’s wife.
Details in rapper death
FORTLAUDERDALE, Fla. — Detective John Curcio of the Broward Sheriff’s Office described evidence from video surveillance that led to the arrest of Dedrick Williams, 22, for the murder of rapper XXXTentacion.
In a sworn affidavit, Detective Curcio says XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, arrived at Riva Motorsports at 3:30 p.m. Monday with a friend. Two minutes later, two men got out of a dark sport utility vehicle and followed the rapper inside; one bought a mask at the parts department, paying cash.
The men left and, when XXXTentacion tried to exit the lot in his BMW, blocked him. The masked, armed men exited the car and confronted the rapper.
“After a brief struggle, the victim is shot,” Detective Curcio wrote.
