Is Trump protecting his interests while insulting allies?

-

President Donald Trump is now in the process of ignoring our NATO allies before he rushes off to see Vladimir Putin in Russia.

I am sure he will make certain that his business enterprises in Russia are safe and sound.

Then he will meet his buddy, shake his hand, then wander off for a walk in the woods and let his troubles drift away. ROBERT SMILEY

Baldwin Borough casino owner. Yet we know God works through imperfect leaders — consider King David who killed his lover’s husband. Despite David’s sins, God continued to bless Israel through him. Between signing executive orders proclaiming religious liberty and nominating justices who respect the fundamental right to life, Mr. Trump strengthens America’s JudeoChristian roots, earning support from many members of our community.

Unfortunately, the Democratic Party actively opposes many people of sincere religious convictions, making it nearly impossible for evangelicals to vote for politicians who disrespect our beliefs. When many on the left attack Christianity, we respectfully and honorably defend our faith by supporting candidates who promote religious liberty.

We disagree with some of Mr. Trump’s decisions, but by God’s grace he tirelessly defends the American principle of freedom of religion, which serves our main goal of spreading the Good News of Jesus. DAVID NAVADEH

Why forget to name the example set by the current president as so many women have accused him of sexual improprieties while the public has viewed a tape of his own words explaining his abhorrent attitude toward women?

Why cast aspersions at Barack Obama, while the current occupant has set a tone with outright lies and obfuscations?

I await your more inclusive list of moral woes. REV. GREGORY C. SWIDERSKI
