Body discovered in Larimer duplex
Firefighters discovered a body Wednesday after responding to a blaze in a Larimer duplex. It was unclear how the person died, Pittsburgh police said.
Firefighters responded shortly before 8 p.m. to the 900 block of Washington Boulevard for a report of a structure fire.
They quickly extinguished the fire, then found a body on the first floor of the residence, which was thought to be vacant.
Pittsburgh homicide and arson detectives were investigating, along with the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Washington Boulevard was closed in both directions for about 30 minutes as authorities investigated at the duplex across the street from Clean Car Express.
