A 14-year-old boy is accused of committing three carjackings in two days.

Pittsburgh police believe the teen, who has not been publicly identified, carjacked two vehicles Monday — one from a 70year-old woman in a garage at Bakery Square in Larimer and another from a 75-year-old man in the 500 block of South Murtland Street in Point Breeze.

On Tuesday, police said, the teen and two other boys carjacked a 66-year-old man in the 7300 block of Reynolds Street in Point Breeze. The man was assaulted and pulled from his vehicle about 1:45 p.m., according to police.

Police asked construction and road crews to keep an eye out for that vehicle, and about 5 p.m., a construction worker spotted it in Homewood and flagged down passing officers.

The officers stopped the vehicle at Monticello Street near Brushton Avenue. Four boys and a girl ran from the vehicle, but all were apprehended. Police said surveillance footage and photos taken by bystanders showed the 14-year-old carry out the carjacking Monday in Bakery Square and also showed him carjacking the vehicle on Tuesday.
