What’s the toughest thing about preseason practice? Nothing is really tough, but it’s just how long they are.
Your graduating class likely will be the winningest in school history. What does that mean to you? It means a lot to me, but if we win states this year it will mean a lot more.
You’re known as a big hitter. Is there one hit that comes to mind as being the biggest? Probably when I was in ninth grade when we played South Fayette. First play of the game I stuck Hunter Hayes. How much can you bench? I rep 295 and max out at 350 or 355.
Are you the strongest player on the team? Oh yeah.
Some have said your height has held you back from being recruited by power five conference schools. Do you play with a chip on your shoulder because of that? I really don’t worry about my height because teams watch film and watch what I do. Everybody I play against, it
doesn’t matter who it is, I’m still physical. You can ask everyone up to [Class] 5A and 6A down to 1A. We all play for Evolve. It’s really not a big deal to me. I really don’t think about that when I’m playing. I just think about winning, balling out and doing everything I can to get the W. Who should be the No. 1 team in Class 2A? I think we should. We have a lot of people that people don’t know about who already had experience from last year. So, basically, we have a whole team who we played with last year plus a couple of more stars who are showcasing their talent this year. So, I think we should be No. 1.
Who is one player who you think will make a name for himself who a lot of people don’t know about? Our running back ,Kameron Williams. He rushed for 1,000 yards last year. This year is going to be his breakout season. And he should get a couple of offers. Team not on your schedule you wish you would play? Woodland Hills. Player on another team you
wish was on your team? [West Mifflin’s] Parrish Parker. I wish he would have come to our school.
You’ll be going to school in Washington, D.C. Who’s your favorite president? That’s easy. Barack Obama. Any chance you’ll become a Redskins fan? No. Steelers Nation forever. That’s always going to be my team.
