McKeesport runs past Erie in second half

-

McKeesport has a number of new starters this season, but the Tigers look the same as they did last season. They run the ball with success and score plenty of points.

McKeesport defeated Erie High, 45-26, Saturday in the Western Pennsylvania vs. Everyone Showcase at the Wolvarena in Turtle Creek.

McKeesport led just 2420 at halftime, but scored the first three touchdowns of the second half. Rahmon Powell ran for 141 yards on 17 carries.

“I’m happy,” said McKeesport coach Matt Miller. “I thought we might struggle a little and there are still areas for improvement. But I feel pretty good for this time of year.”

McKeesport quarterback Konota Gaskins ran for one touchdown and threw for two.
