Aliquippa 62, Montour 0: The top-ranked Quips (4-0) recorded their third shutout in four weeks in this non-conference game against the visiting Spartans (0-4). Aliquippa has outscored its four opponents, 224-6. Montour went scoreless for the second week in a row. Aliquippa’s M.J. Devonshire returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown, his sixth of the season.
Keystone Oaks 42, South Park 7: Michael Daure and Logan Shrubb combined to rush for 246 yards and five touchdowns, as the No. 3 Golden Eagles (4-0, 2-0) dominated the Eagles (0-3, 0-2) in the Tri-County West Conference. Daure rushed for 146 yards on 23 carries and scored on runs of 51 and 1 yards. Shrubb rushed for 100 yards on 14 carries and scored on runs of 7, 1 and 28 yards. Shrubb also completed 15 of 19 passes for 170 yards and connected with Daure on a 35-yard scoring pass. Daure’s season totals are 963 yards on 108 carries.
Derry 48, Mount Pleasant 7: Justin Flack scored five touchdowns to lead the No. 4 Trojans (4-0, 2-0) to a convincing road victory against the Vikings (1-3, 1-1) in the Big East Conference. Flack rushed for 113 yards on nine carries and scored on runs of 71, 4, and 6 yards. He also caught touchdown passes of 76 and 36 yards from Paul Koontz.
Beaver Falls 25, Quaker Valley 14: Dayln Brickner threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as the No. 5 Tigers (4-0, 3-0) defeated the visiting Quakers (1-2, 1-2) in the Tri-County West Conference. Brickner completed 7 of 11 passes for 189 yards and connected with Amen Cottrill on touchdown passes of 83 and 50 yards. Brickner also scored on a 49-yard run. Quaker Valley’s Ethan Moore completed 16 of 31 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns.
Yough 32, Deer Lakes 13: Dustin Shoaf rushed for 401 yards on 41 carries and scored five touchdowns to lead the Cougars (2-2, 2-1) to a Big East Conference road victory against the Lancers (1-2, 1-2). Shoaf, who scored on runs of 3, 1, 9, 41 and 40
South Fayette 51, Greensburg Salem 28: Jamie Diven completed 11 of 22 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns as the No. 2 Lions (3-1) defeated the visiting Golden Lions (1-3) in a non-conference game. Diven connected with Mike Trimbur on touchdown passes of 3 and 41 yards and with Ryan McGuire on a 67-yard scoring strike. RayQuin Glover scored twice for the Lions, on a 66-yard punt return and on a 32-yard run.
Belle Vernon 49, Laurel Highlands 7: Mason Pascoe and Jared Hartman each scored two touchdowns to lead the No. 3 Leopards (2-1, 1-1) to a Big Eight Conference road victory over the Mustangs (2-2, 01). Pascoe rushed for 135 yards on 19 carries and scored on runs of 1 and 12 yards. Hartman scored on runs of 4 and 8 yards.
Blackhawk 48, Ambridge 6: Chance Liptak completed six of six passes, including four for touchdowns, as the No. 5 Cougars (4-0, 3-0) dominated the Bridgers (1-3, 0-1) in the Northeast Eight Conference. Liptak connected with Marques WatsonTrent on touchdown passes of 26 and 58 yards. He also threw touchdown passes to Ryan Heckathorn and James Darno. The Cougars had a 41-0 lead at halftime.
Beaver 21, New Castle 13: Brodie List threw for one touchdown and ran for another as the Bobcats (3-1, 2-1) defeated the visiting Hurricanes (1-3, 1-2) in the Northwest Eight Conference. List completed 8 of 13 passes for 118 yards and connected with Zach Hansen on a 12-yard touchdown pass. List rushed for 177 yards on 24 carries and scored on a 16-yard run.
