Silk Screen Gala

-

#RedCarpetReady: One of my favorite parties of the fall season, the Silk Screen Red Carpet Gala, stands out as an eclectic event that celebrates the many cultures of Asia. “We have tried to promote more diversity within our ranks,” said Jennifer Dunn, event chair. “We wanted to include entertainment from all over Asia. The films selected are reflective of that, as well.” Not only did guests enjoy the variety of entertainers, including the hypnotic musical stylings of the King Fez Band, but the dance performances, like standout Yanlai Dance Academy, kept guests enthralled. Beyond the magic on the dance floor, partygoers indulged in one of the best buffets in the city with Indianand Chinese-inspired dishes before checking out the trailers for the festival, which began over the weekend and continues through Sept. 30.

“This is our 13th year, and we aim to build cultural bridges from here to Asia,” said festival founder Harish Saluja. “This party helps to ignite conversation and exchange ideas while breaking bread and making new friends.” For tickets, description of films and locations: silkscreenfestival.org.
