A Night Under the Stars
The Place: PNC Park field on the North Shore, Friday night
The Party: Allegheny Health Network’s A Night Under the Stars began with a VIP reception in the Lexus Club, where gala chairs Greg Jordan (with Ellen) and Bob Nutting (with Leslie) socialized with AHN CEO Cynthia Hundorfean and CEO of Highmark Health David Holmberg, AHN board chair Dr. David Blandino and Frank Coonelly president of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Passed hors d’oeuvres and live music from the Elite Show Band made a nice soundtrack to the evening. Guests made their way to the clear-topped tent on the baseball diamond for dinner, dancing and words by Dr. Susan Manzi (with Dr. Joseph Ahearn) and Dr. Donald Whiting. “AHN innovates every day and we care for patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and people with autoimmune diseases, and we have created a unique program to care for them,” said Dr. Manzi. LUXE Creative designed a party experience that included an after-dinner fireworks display. The event sold out at 650 guests. “This is a lot more than we had last year,” said a thrilled Ms. Hundorfean.
“This is an amazing gathering of people who have been supportive of AHN over the past five years to bring it back to life and make it profitable once again, she noted. “But it is really about all the great care we are providing throughout the network and celebrating all the people who have been on board to help make this happen.”
