More Class 3A

Aliquippa 54, Yough 20: M.J. Devonshire scored on a punt return for the seventh time this season as the top-ranked Quips (7-0) pounded the Cougars (3-4) in a nonconfere­nce game. Devonshire returned a punt 63 yards for a score and caught a 34yard touchdown pass from Eli Kosanovich. Kosanovich completed 6 of 13 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Deoveon Crute and Avante McKenzie also caught touchdown passes. McKenzie rushed for 113 yards on nine carries and scored on a 29-yard run. Yough was led by Dustin Shoaf, who rushed for 134 yards on 28 carries and scored on a 45-yard run.

Beaver Falls 41, Keystone Oaks 21: Dayln Brickner rushed for 224 yards on 18 carries and scored on touchdown runs of 1, 36 and 40 yards, as the No. 3 Tigers (6-1, 4-1) defeated the Golden Eagles (4-3, 2-3) in the Tri-County West Conference. Brickner also threw touchdown passes to Amen Cottrill and Dante Collins. Josh Hough added 124 yards on 19 carries for the Tigers, who accumulate­d 372 yards on the ground. Hough scored on a 46-yard intercepti­on return. Keystone Oaks was led by Logan Shrubb, who threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. Shrubb completed 17 of 26 passes for 159 yards and connected with C.J. Morrow and Sam Torturella on scoring passes.

Derry 52, Uniontown 20: The No. 5 Trojans (6-1, 4-1) dominated the visiting Red Raiders (0-7, 0-5) in the Big East Conference.

Freeport 14, Deer Lakes 10: Austin Romanchak rushed for 138 yards on 16 carries and scored on a 74-yard run to lead the Yellow Jackets (3-3, 3-3) to a Big East Conference road win against the Lancers (33, 3-3). Freeport also scored on an 11-yard run by Conor Selinger, who had 86 yards on 16 carries.

Burrell 35, Mount Pleasant 7: The Buccaneers (2-5, 2-4) defeated the visiting Vikings (1-6, 1-4) in the Big East Conference.

Quaker Valley 46, Waynesburg 14: Ethan Moore completed 21 of 33 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns as the Quakers (3-3, 3-2) dominated the Raiders (1-6, 0-5) in the Tri-County West Conference. Moore threw touchdown passes to Ryan Jackovic and Cameron Nelson. Moore also scored three times on runs of 5, 5 and 1 yards. Smith Johnson scored twice for the Quakers on an 18-yard run and a fumble recovery in the end zone. Waynesburg’s Luke Shriver led all rushers with 186 yards on 25 carries.

Hopewell 34, South Park 17: Rudy Mihoces scored twice, on a 16-yard run and an 88-yard kickoff return, to lead the Vikings (34, 2-2) to a Tri-County West road victory over the Eagles (1-5, 1-3). The Eagles also scored on a 51-yard pass from Stephen Kmonk to Brandon Goldbach, a 16-yard run by Kmonk, and a 2-yard fumble return by Jon Blackburn. Hopewell’s Jay’Von Jeter completed 12 of 35 passes for 285 yards, but was intercepte­d three times.

Class 4A

Thomas Jefferson 45, Central Valley 6: Dan Deabner and Dylan Mallozzi each scored two touchdowns to lead the topranked Jaguars (6-0) to an easy non-conference victory over the Warriors (2-5). Deabner caught touchdown passes of 66 and 11 yards. Mallozzi scored on runs of 13 and 53 yards. The Jaguars also scored on a 1-yard run by Max Shaw, an 8-yard run by DeRon VanBibber, and a safety.

South Fayette 35, Knoch 14: Jamie Diven threw five touchdown passes to lead the No. 2 Lions (6-1, 4-0) to a road victory over the Knights (2-5, 2-4) in the Northwest Eight Conference. Diven completed 12 of 19 passes for 232 yards and connected with Mike Trimbur on touchdown passes of 16, 31, and 74 yards, and with Charles Rossi on scoring strikes of 21 and 9 yards. Trimbur caught six passes for 159 yards.

Belle Vernon 54, Trinity 0: Jarod Hartman ran for three touchdowns and threw for another, as the No. 3 Leopards (5-1, 4-1) blanked the visiting Hillers (1-5, 1-5) in the Big Eight Conference. Hartman scored on runs of 2, 9 and 9 yards. He also completed 10 of 11 passes for 109 yards and connected with Nolan Labuda on a 22-yard scoring pass. Mason Pascoe led the Leopards with 84 yards on 16 carries and scored on a 52-yard run. Larry Calloway scored three times on runs of 2, 5 and 4 yards.

Blackhawk 42, New Castle 17: Marques Watson-Trent scored four touchdowns to lead the No. 4 Cougars (6-1, 5-1) to a Northwest Eight Conference win against the visiting Hurricanes (3-4, 1-3). Watson-Trent scored on runs of 3, 14, and 7 yards, and caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from Carmen Campagna. The Cougars also scored on runs of 23 and 25 yards by Kenneth Gawley, who led all rushers with 124 yards on 16 carries. New Castle’s Demetris McKnight rushed for 118 yards on 14 carries and scored on runs of 26 and 31 yards.

Beaver 51, Ambridge 0: Gino Mavero rushed for 164 yards on 15 carries and scored three touchdowns, as the No. 5 Bobcats (5-2, 3-2) dominated the Bridgers (1-6, 0-4) on the road in the Northwest Eight Conference. Mavero scored on runs of 36, 3, and 10 yards. Brodie List completed 7 of 15 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns for the Bobcats. List connected with Anthony George and Noah Yates on touchdown passes. George also scored on a 3yard run. Beaver had 450 yards in total offense, including 330 on the ground.

West Mifflin 42, Greensburg Salem 28: Parrish Parker rushed for 203 yards on 33 carries and scored on 3, 3, 2, and 11 yards, as the Titans (4-3, 4-0) remained unbeaten in the Big Eight Conference with a win over the visiting Golden Lions (2-5, 2-2). Parker also connected with Bryant Johnson on a 44-yard touchdown pass. Greensburg Salem’s Trent Patrick threw for 115 yards and a touchdown and also ran for a score.

Montour 48, Highlands 33: William White ran for three touchdowns and Luke Persinger threw for three more as the Spartans (2-5, 2-2) posted a road victory in the Northwest Eight Conference againstr the Golden Rams (2-5, 2-3). White rushed for 76 yards on 14 carries and scored on runs of 2, 16 and 17 yards. Persinger completed 10 of 20 passes for 202 yards and connected with Anthony Tambellini on scoring passes of 6, 35 and 23 yards.

North Catholic (61, 4-1), Derry (6-1, 4-1) and Elizabeth Forward are tied for first place in the conference.Rocco completed 10 of 19 passes for 191 yards and connected with Tyree Brown on touchdown passes of 20 and 19 yards. Rocco also scored on runs of 5 and 57 yards. Brown caught five passes for 120 yards.
