Closings listed for Thanksgiving holiday
All City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, state and federal offices and courts will be closed Thursday for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
Banks and state liquor stores also will closed. Post offices will be closed, with no pick-up or delivery of regular mail.
State offices and courts and city offices also will be closed Friday. Garbage pick-up will be delayed one day.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County will operate bus, T and incline service on their respective holiday schedules. About 30 bus routes will be detoured in Downtown and the North Shore from about 7 to 11 a.m. because of the annual Turkey Trot race. The customer service line, 412-442-2000, will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Downtown Service Center will be closed.
