Closings listed for Thanksgivi­ng holiday

All City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, state and federal offices and courts will be closed Thursday for the Thanksgivi­ng Day holiday.

Banks and state liquor stores also will closed. Post offices will be closed, with no pick-up or delivery of regular mail.

State offices and courts and city offices also will be closed Friday. Garbage pick-up will be delayed one day.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County will operate bus, T and incline service on their respective holiday schedules. About 30 bus routes will be detoured in Downtown and the North Shore from about 7 to 11 a.m. because of the annual Turkey Trot race. The customer service line, 412-442-2000, will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Downtown Service Center will be closed.
