Oakland Restaurant Week: Sixteen Oakland eateries are offering $6 lunches from Tuesday through Feb. 2.The event includes an opportunit­y to win free lunch for a month. Participan­ts are CHiKN, Fuel and Fuddle, Garden Grille, Golden Palace, Hanami, Hello Bistro, Original Milano Pizza, Pamela’s, Pie Express, Prince of India, Sciulli’s, Sorrento’s, Stack’d, Sushi Fuku, Thirsty Scholar and Top Shabu-Shabu. onlyinoakl­and.org/events/restaurant­week2019/.

Feast — Children: Chef Sonja Finn of Dinette and Cafe Carnegie presents a three-course dinner for adults with a childlike theme, including tea sandwiches and hot dogs during the appetizer course, shoestring fries as part of the first course, plenty of adultfrien­dly foods, and sugar cookie decorating for dessert. The dinner is themed around a screening called “Children” in the Carnegie Museum of Art Theater.
