‘ Corks for Community’ benefit Tickets are on sale for “Corks for the Community,” an evening of wine, art, live music and activities to benefit North Hills Community Outreach. Influences on judgment “Judgment Calls: the Science Behind Your Decisions” will be the topic for a program at the Whitehall Public Library at 7 p. m. July 30. Daniel Oppenheimer, professor of psychology at Carnegie Mellon University, will discuss how judgments can be influenced by irrelevant information and how decisions can be manipulated. CommUNITY Day kickoff Monroeville CommUNITY Day will be held July 27 beginning at 11 a. m. at the Monroeville Community Park on West Tilbrook Road. The day will include exhibitors, crafters, a health fair, kids activity zone, concerts and a foam party. Symphonic band concert The West Hills Symphonic Band will present the second of its two concerts marking the 75th anniversary of of D- Day at 6: 30 p. m. July 21 at Leopold Lake Park in Imperial. The program for the concert will include popular music from the World War II era, patriotic songs and marches. Special recognition will be given to past and present members of the armed forces.
