-

All the action from a busy night of high school basketball.

Upper St. Clair did everything it could to come from behind and hand host Bethel Park its first loss of the season. It just wasn’t enough.

Bethel Park senior and St. Bonaventure recruit Maddie Dziezgowski hit a pair of 3pointers as part of her 16 points to give her 1,003 for her career.

Olivia Westphal added 17 as the Class 6A No. 1 Black Hawks (14-0, 9-0) held off the No. 5 Panthers (9-5, 6-4) for a 49-38 decision.

Upper St. Clair went on a nice run in the third quarter to get close, 31-27, before Westphal dropped in eight points in the fourth quarter to put it away. Mia Brown scored 14 in the loss for the Panthers.
