What was it like winning the Director’s Cup in the PA

Hockey Scholastic Showcase? It was awesome. … We won it in a shootout. We had two overtime periods and still nobody scored. It was a really fun game. It was probably one of my most exhausting games. Just a really long game and a lot of fun.

Who is your favorite player in the NHL? I mean, I love [Sidney] Crosby. He is easily my favorite player on the Pittsburgh Penguins, but I love watching Connor McDavid. He amazes me with everything he does and how fast he is, and how he can

control the puck with how fast he skates. He amazes me. Who do you think is a better player, Crosby or McDavid? I think Crosby. It’s his league. Have you ever seen somebody pass the puck off the back of the cage to themselves like Crosby did the other day? Yes I have. My linemate, Alex Walker, he does that sometimes on a defenseman. … It’s a really good move to do. What’s your favorite sport to play besides hockey? I play golf in the summertime. I played for the school golf team for the first time this year, and I really enjoyed it. Usually over the summer, I try to go almost every day, depending on work. But I really enjoy golfing over the summer. That’s like my main thing. And I try to stay on the ice as much as I can, too.

Do you like to watch golf or just play it? Oh, I love to watch golf. Who is your favorite golfer? It’s either Tiger Woods or Brooks Koepka.

What’s your favorite subject in school? I like accounting a lot.

I’m really good at it. It just comes naturally to me. Any type of business or financial class, it just comes easy for me.

What’s your go-to restaurant for a postgame meal? We always switch it up. If it’s a later game, we just go to Eat’n Park because it’s right next to the rink. … After every away trip we have, we take a bus and we always Sheetz after the game. What’s one prized possession you can’t live without? Probably my friends and family.
