Mushroom talk

“The Safe Seven” will be discussed at the March 17 meeting of the Western Pennsylvan­ia Mushroom Club. WPMC mycologist La Monte Yarroll will talk about the seven safe mushrooms as detailed in the book “Start Mushroomin­g.” The free meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyvill­e Road, Fox Chapel. The wives’ stories

Charlotte McDaniel will discuss her book, “Stories Untold: Oral Histories of the Wives of Vietnam Servicemen,” on March 7 at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Park Public Library. Ms. McDaniel, a retired Emory University professor, interviewe­d more than 30 wives whose husbands served in all branches of the military.
