Mushroom talk
“The Safe Seven” will be discussed at the March 17 meeting of the Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club. WPMC mycologist La Monte Yarroll will talk about the seven safe mushrooms as detailed in the book “Start Mushrooming.” The free meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Road, Fox Chapel. The wives’ stories
Charlotte McDaniel will discuss her book, “Stories Untold: Oral Histories of the Wives of Vietnam Servicemen,” on March 7 at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Park Public Library. Ms. McDaniel, a retired Emory University professor, interviewed more than 30 wives whose husbands served in all branches of the military.
