NBA releases scrimmage schedule as next step to Orlando restart plan
The NBA announced the schedule for scrimmages at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., with 33 games set for between July 22 and July 28.
Each of the 22 teams that will be part of the season restart has been scheduled for three games.
The Orlando Magic and L.A. Clippers will play in the first game July 22. The season officially will resume with the start of seeding games on July 30.

Colleges
Kansas suspended its voluntary workouts for football after an increase of positive coronavirus tests within the program, the university said in a statement. According to the Kansas athletics department, 162 student-athletes have been tested with 16 total positives, including 12 in football.
Hockey
Multiple members of the St. Louis Blues have tested positive for the coronavirus. The Athletic first reported that Phase 2 workouts for the team were canceled as a result of the positive tests.
Soccer
Bayern Munich showed its domestic dominance by beating Bayer Leverkusen, 4-2, in the German Cup final. Bayern, which had already won its eighth straight Bundesliga title, retained the trophy with goals from David Alaba, Serge Gnabry and two from Robert Lewandowski. It was Bayern’s 20th cup title and its second consecuitve league and cup double. Golf
The Indian Open event on the European Tour was canceled because of the threat posed by the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament was initially postponed from March to an unspecified time later in 2020, but now has been scrapped following consultation with the European Tour and Asian Tour. The European Tour is due to restart this month with six straight events in Britain.
Harness racing
Heavily favored It’s Academic cruised to victory in the Currier & Ives for 3-yearold trotters at The Meadows. When Sister Sledge and Crucial waltzed to similarly easy wins in the filly division — each in stake-record time — they gave Yannick Gingras and trainer Ron Burke a Currier & Ives sweep. Burke’s big day didn’t end there. He started horses in 11 of the card’s 15 races and won a remarkable nine of them.
